How and Why You Should Create Your Home Gym

April 2, 2020

Dreaming to have a gym at home is every fitness freak’s dream. You don’t need a substantial bank balance or a large bungalow to own a home gym. In the 21st century, equipment minimization makes us able to enjoy every luxury at home or in an accessible place. To make a home gym, follow these guidelines for creating a gym of your own.

Step 1: Find a suitable space

In our homes, we all have some spare space or a less used area that can easily be converted into a gym, for example, an extra room, a room’s dressing space, even patio, or an available spot in the garage. Truly said where there is a will, there is always a way.

Step 2: Gym equipment

No need to buy heavy and big gym equipment. Try to find affordable, small-sized equipment which helps you in achieving your goals related to your fitness. There are a lot of options in the market for small-sized new tech gym equipment which is suitable for exercise. And you can skip buying a bulky treadmill for cardio or worrying about Bladez, easily stored jump ropes are perfect for quick cardio, and training. And no need for a bunch of weights or cable machines for strength training, invest instead in one set of dumbbells that you can adjust in weight. While stability balls and BOSUs can be fun for workouts, they can be tough to store. That’s why we love using balance discs at home instead.

Step 3: Gym vibes

To enjoy your workout sessions, decorate your gym accordingly. Put plant pots to get fresh vibes. Put a mirror to see your moves and follow-up on the results of your hard work in the coming months. Doing this will boost your stamina and energy. Placing soft-effect lights will lighten up your mood. Owning a home gym is not a Herculean task but an affordable and accessible solution.

Why Should You Create A Home Gym?

There are a lot of reasons to have a home gym. In the 21st century, our lifestyles are limited by the constraints of time. We have lots of responsibilities which we try to fulfill from dawn to dusk, and meanwhile, we don’t get time for self-pampering. Having a gym at home can substantially increase the amount of time we spend on ourselves.

1. Time saver

With a home gym, you eliminate

· The long lines to use the equipment.

· Wasted travel times.

· The long prep that starts and ends in the locker room: it takes time and effort to get dressed to work out, shower, and then get redressed to leave.

2. Freedom

A home gym offers flexibility, and you can vary gym time according to your daily routine. You feel less pressure to rush to your gym. You can attend guests, meetings without feeling guilty about missing gym time.

3. Privacy

You are free to take your time and learn proper stances, discover how to best use the equipment, and decide what routine and pace is the right choice for your fitness needs – all without feeling judged. You exercise freely without interacting with strangers.

How CBD can aid the activities and recovery of Athletes

March 31, 2020

We have activities that we carry out daily to meet particular goals. As much as possible we strive to find easier ways of carrying out such activities. Some people have made the creation of things that would make life easier their goal and put all their efforts to this purpose. Others regularly find these things to buy in the market towards aiding them. As an athlete, there are some inconveniences that you would be exposed to and you would need products to help you recover from the effects of those inconveniences. For this, they use some products including CBD.

Recovery has always been very important for athletes. The process of working out and exercising leads to the breakdown of muscle. The muscles subsequently recover and in the process become stronger and bigger. The same process continues to repeat as the individual continues to work out to build the muscles. That is how muscle-building activity occurs. Considering that they have to regularly get involved in those bodybuilding activities for their progress to be maintained, anything that can improve the rate at which they recover is a welcome development. Here are some of the ways CBD can aid the activities and recovery of athletes.

Reduction of pain

One of the ways CBD can aid the recovery of athletes is by reducing pain. By reducing pain, the athletes can go about their daily activities. Reduction of pain also means that they can meet up with their next schedule of fitness exercise with lesser or pain. Thus, CBDs can help athletes keep up with their daily routine including their exercising and other fitness activities. Before the actual healing of any problem we have, the first thing we are often interested in is that we want the pain to go away and then for the wound to heal. The CBD has a natural reliever and anti-inflammatory properties. The pain relief and anti-inflammatory properties of CDB come in handy in helping the pain to go away and subsequently the wound heals.

Boost the flow of blood

For the body to function properly including recovering from the effects of their workout, sporting activities or injuries they might have obtained, there is the need for the needed nutrients to be provided to every part of the body. CBD has the reputation of boosting the flow of blood to the body. During this process, blood containing oxygen and nutrients are transported to the brains, muscles and every other part of the body. This is a very important recovery process as the body can now utilize the relevant nutrients, majorly protein to repair the muscles and other parts of the body that needs to fix.

Reduces feeling of stress

Feeling stressed is an effect that could come with regular workouts. This could reduce how much a person would be able to work out. However, with the reduced feeling of stress, the individual will be able to work out more. Furthermore, the reduced feeling of stress would also aid the individual in carrying out their other activities for the day while also encouraging faster recovery of the body. You can read about CBD armour to see how other athletes have benefitted from using their products.

Support with sleeping

The aches that can come with working out could sometimes make it difficult to sleep. However, it is during sleep that the body does most of its maintenance activities and healing. Thus, without proper and adequate sleep, the rate at which the body will recover will be slower. However, by taking CBD, you would be able to sleep more. Consequently, your body will be able to heal and your recovery process will be hastened.

4 Reasons You’re Not Reaching Your Fitness Goals

March 19, 2020

It can be frustrating to set fitness goals for yourself only to find that you’re not seeing your waist shrink like you would like it to. Not seeing results can be incredibly disheartening and make you want to give up on healthy lifestyle choices altogether. After all, what’s the point of making healthy choices if you’re not seeing a difference?

Most people would like to believe that a consistent effort equals solid results. However, it’s not always that simple for everyone. If you’ve been working hard and aren’t seeing results yet, here are some of the reasons why that might be.

Poor Diet

Diet and fitness go hand in hand. You can’t workout hard at the gym and then eat fast food expecting the same results as you would if you ate a nutritious meal. The key to losing weight is calories in and calories out. You should be burning more calories than you’re taking in. Therefore, eating a high-fat meal after a long workout is only undoing everything you achieved at the gym.

Give your body what it needs to sustain itself yet rid itself of its excess fat. If you’re not sure how many calories you should be eating, consider using a calorie Calculator. By keeping track of what you eat throughout the day, you’ll know if you’re within the right limits for your weight range or not.

Not Sleeping Enough

Sleep isn’t just crucial for our immune system’s mental well-being and overall health. It also plays a crucial role in our weight loss period; if you’re not getting enough sleep, you won’t be able to give your workout your all. Showing up to the gym and only giving 50% will show in the results you see. Prioritize sleep as a part of your fitness goals. Get the better performance you will have during your exercise routine.

You’re Not Strength Training

Far too many people make the mistake of only focusing on burning calories and not working on strength and resistance. Don’t choose a workout solely based on how many calories it burns. You’ll also need not to build your muscles to get a leaner physique. Just because you’re breathing hard and sweating doesn’t mean your molding your body the way that you like it to. Be sure that you’re choosing a workout that focuses on the areas you want to improve.

You’re Overestimating Your Workout

Sometimes people who are new to exercise may think that they’re working out harder than they are. By overestimating the amount of calorie burn, you’re putting in; you may be setting yourself up for unrealistic expectations. It’s helpful to wear a heart monitor bracelet to keep track of exactly what your burn is.

How Exercise Can Reduce Stress

January 7, 2020

Stress is said to be a silent killer, and in today’s world, one would have plenty of it. The hectic lifestyle, the constant work pressure gradually start building up stress. And, then there are demands of one’s personal life. So, what can one do? Either you live with it, or find some way out to cope up with the same. The second option seems better in every possible way, as living with stress every day is not a healthy way of living at all. Stress can not only affect one’s physical well-being, but it can be a lot more detrimental to one’s mental stability. Without a stable mind, one will not be able to work properly or make any positive choice and make the correct decisions in life.

So, what happens when you are stressed? When one is stressed, the muscles get tense, primarily in the neck area, and one usually experiences painful headaches. Stress is often the cause of heart problems. Experiencing a tightness in the chest, a pounding pulse, or muscle cramps are also common symptoms of stress. Physical discomfort like stomach aches, heartburn are also reasons for stress.

Now, you cannot live like that all your life. So, what can you do? You can choose to put all that stress away from your life by merely diverting all your thoughts onto something else like exercise. That is what is suggested by someone like Garry Y Itkin, who believes that nothing can be more beneficial than exercise to beat stress.

When you start yourself on a daily exercise routine, it helps your body to release endorphins in the brain. Endorphins help to relieve pain and stress in the body. The body and mind are linked to each other. When your body starts feeling great, so does your mind. This should, however, be a routine. You need to train your body regularly, push it beyond the limits, and make it face challenges every day. It is not going to be easy. The first few days will be painful, and you would like to give it up. But, don’t give up on yourself easily. Just follow the exercise routine every day or at least three times a week. This will help to release endorphins regularly and keep all that stress at bay.

Exercising also helps to lower your body’s stress hormones like Cortisol. The release of endorphins and the lowering of stress hormones is a great combination that helps to keep you calm and relaxed.

Not everyone is curved out for doing all kinds of exercises. You should understand your capability and endurance level to know how much you can handle. For some, swimming can be a good exercise, or for some Crossfit training might be a good option. Then there might be some who are happy with weight training and sweating it out in the gym.

If, however, you want something more relaxing, then Yoga is known to be great stress busters. There is nothing more calming than practicing Yoga. Apart from helping you to calm your mind, Yoga helps in improved blood circulation, better flexibility, and a strong core. Regular yoga classes also help those with high blood pressure and heart disease. The training or classes should be taken from reputed and trained practitioners. Yoga also helps in tackling anxiety issues and keeps you calm and composed.

You can also try your hands at cardio workouts as there is nothing more heart racing and blood pumping than that. HIIT or High-Intensity Interval Cardio is much in vogue nowadays. Exercises should be planned out as a combination of cardio and weight training. The more muscle you grow, the better will be your weight loss and improved metabolism.

When Should You Exercise?

The time you choose to carry out doing the exercises also matters. Though it is a common belief that getting started early in the morning is always good for your health, work constraints often make many to choose evening hours for working out.

Diet

Diet plays an essential role in fighting stress levels too. Food like Avocado and banana, tea, swiss chard, yogurt, fatty fish, carrots, milk, Brazilian nuts, chocolate can help deal with stress. When you are working out, it is crucial to have a balanced diet. You need to keep a check on your calorie count, too, for great results.

One needs to remember that exercise and diet go hand in hand. Be regular with your exercise routine and keep a check on what you are eating. Maintaining the balance will help you get the result that you want to achieve.

Are You That Fit & Healthy Mom?

March 22, 2018

No matter if you are a house wife or a working mom; your health should be your first priority.

Opting for a lifestyle that keeps you and your family fit and healthy would also keep the ‘Happy Mom = Happy Family’ equation balanced.

Here are our Top 7 tips on how to maintain a healthy and energetic lifestyle.

Plan Your Activities

Your life can get hectic and a good way to deal with that would be to get into the habit of making a schedule of your activities.

This is the key for achieving your daily goals. It would help you keep track of what needs to get done on priority and stay motivated as you complete one goal after the other.

Wake Up Early

If you are following your daily schedule, it’s necessary to wake up early to keep on track. It offers you the best time for a morning walk or some alone time to work on personal goals. It helps you to start your day on an optimistic note and enhances productivity for the entire day.

Workout

This is the time when you can include your entire family to help you achieve your much-needed workout goals. You can all get active together, ride bikes, play chase or go for a walk. This would also instil the habit of exercise in your kids from an early age.

Eat Breakfast

Having a healthy breakfast within thirty minutes of waking up helps maintain your metabolism and improves your performance for the rest of the day. It is the most important meal of the day. It help keeps your weight and cholesterol level under control, too!

Plan Your Meals

Refrain from eating out more. Rather prepare meals at home that are healthy. Make it a habit to go for grocery shopping with your family, once in a while. Ask them to pick items that are good for health which they’d like to eat. Preparing their favourite meals at home would help you achieve that calorie goal you’ve made for the day!

Read Often

Reading improves the functionality of your mind. In addition to increasing your vocabulary it can also improve your concentrating abilities. Also keep yourself updated on current health issues through reputable sources like fitness magazines etc to know what needs to be followed for maintaining fitness in your life.

Sleep Well

Those who make fitness and health a lifestyle understand the importance of being fully rested. It is recommended to approximately have six to eight hours of sleep to get your body to function at its best on the next day.

Loss of sleep or irregular pattern results in stress or fatigue and increases the chances of stroke, heart disease and diabetes. Plus, it’s bad for the skin, too.

We hope that these tips would be helpful for you in taking steps to be healthier version of yourself. Be an inspiration and offer encouragement to yourself and other moms around you to follow a healthy lifestyle.
