The new year is almost here and it’s ready to smack us in the face. Personally, I couldn’t be happier.
I’m ready for a clean slate, a fresh start, a new year!
No resolutions, no fad diets, and no major overhauls.
I’m sticking with clean living, clean food, and that gratitude attitude!
I wanted to take just a minute to thank you, my readers and friends. I’ve made and met some awesome on-line friends, had many exciting adventures, and some great opportunities that I never expected when I started this little cooking site. If it weren’t for my readers, I would have never made it this far. So…
I thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Now wrapping up this year end, I wanted to bring you my 10 most popular posts of 2011. I know some of my favorites made the list, lets see if any of yours did!
#10
Rice Krispy Treats with browned Butter and Vanilla Bean
Not only was this a popular post on my site, it’s been requested MANY times at home. A pan never lasts very long!
#9
I made these at the end of last year for a Christmas gift. They were very well received by the percipient , and evidently by you, my dear readers.

These were one of most fun cookies that I ever made. I made mine with a watermelon extract and LOVED it. The kiddo asked if I would make them plain vanilla this Summer. Yes, I can do that but, doesn’t she know I have a whole bottle minus a teaspoon of watermelon extract to use up??? Plus I loved the flavor of this cookie!

The list from last years top 10 made the list! And what a list it is. With recipes like Pumpkin Pie Snickerdoodle Bars, and the pictured Pepper Jelly Appetizer Cheesecake, this list was sure to please!
#6
Chocolate Dipped Clementines with Sea Salt
This was such a fresh and delicious idea. And now is the time to get a bunch of clementines and start dipping. I just might have to dip a few myself to arrange on my New Years Eve platter.

OK, OK. This was not a post but…
It’s a nice list or recipes and it was on the most viewed list for 2011. Actually, I’m so far behind in updating my index, that I’m almost embarrassed to even list this. But… maybe that will turn my laziness into action!

These bars are a staple in our home. My daughter packs her lunch for school and these are fer favorite lunch box treat.
#3
Whole Wheat Penne Pasta with Sausage, Chard, and Artichokes
This actually surprised me that this made the list.
Ohhh, it was a delicious dish indeed, but usually sweets have a way of getting all the votes. I dont need to tell you about the power of sweets. We all know their devilish ways!
#2
This was the most viewed post of 2010, and it comes in # 2 for 2011. This is probably the most made cookie recipe in our home. My daughter loves to make these and I’m really quite glad she does. It’s one fine cookie!
And now, are you ready? I’m about to reveal the most popular recipe for the year!
It’s simple, it’s sinful, and it’s sweet!
#1
I made this cake for a co-workers birthday. It was really kind of a joke cake because of it’s name and all, but the joke was on me. This cake turned out to be very well received not only at the party, but also here in Cyberspace.
So that wraps up my 10 most viewed posts and the year as well.
I wish for you, my friend, peace, love, and great happiness in the new year!
Happy New Year and God bless!
