Everyone seems to loves a pumpkin roll.

I have had many people ask me to come over and show them how to make these easy yet impressive cakes.

I’m always happy to have an excuse to make one, or two!

Pumpkin Roll Cake Recipe

Last week, I took my girlfriend out to lunch to celebrate her birthday. She was preparing to host Thanksgiving dinner for her family and boyfriend…, and his parents.

She loves pumpkin rolls!

What better gift then a pumpkin roll, served on a pretty platter, on the eve of Thanksgiving?

MUST make this! I “tried” one at Thanksgiving and, although the bread was good it lacked flavor – and there was too much filling! This looks perfect. Will be making this for Christmas. THANKS!!!

I love the way you gifted this with the platter included. Who wouldn’t love this gift–something to eat and enjoy now. And a platter to keep for the future. Brilliant.

I have always wanted to try a pumpkin roll but all the rolling and unrolling scared me a bit! Afraid of crackage ;)
I need to get over it and make one :)

I love this roll. Maybe I should make it soon, broke my serving plate for roll cakes, must find another. Beautiful job!

Gorgeous! I’m jealous…..I thought mine looked pretty good but yours blows it out of the water. And how sweet and thoughtful were you to gift one to your friend.

Hope you had a blessed & delicious Thanksgiving Megan.

This roulade would make a perfect make-and-take for the holiday season, and I’m definitely going to keep it in mind for that purpose. It’s beautiful, reasonably easy to make, and looks totally delicious. Your recipe is also giving me big ideas for a savory version, too!

I haven’t made any kind of cake roll for years, but it’s always so well liked and impressive. I might just have to make one for a neighborhood ladies get together next week.

23 Karen December 11, 2010 at 12:12 pm

I haven’t made a rolled cake in quite a while. I love them because they look so fancy! This is a perfect gift!
