Recently, I won a gourmet S’more Kit from Tastestopping and Regional Best. We were so excited when we got the package that my daughter ripped into it immediately and made us both a s’more. I’m looking forward to Summer and the many camping trips that we have planned and this was a fun way to start off the season.
The gourmet s’mores kit included gourmet vanilla marshmallows from Kitchen Witch of Pennsylvania, Middlebury Maple Crackers from Castleton Crackers of Vermont and Artisan Chocolate Puddles from Grocer’s Daughter Chocolates of Michigan. Thank you Casey from Tastestopping and the fine folks at Regional Best! You are appreciated and they were the the best s’mores.
Then I got an e-mail from Casey asking what did I do with my kit? She had an idea that she had been thinking about and did I want to play along. “Uh, yea! I want to play“, I said as I was looking at my brand new shiny (OK, it’s not really shiny) ice cream maker.
So Casey’s idea was a S’more crawl! She wondered how we enjoyed our kits (Very much, thank you!) and would we like to post about them.
After I ate 2, maybe 3 s’mores (and even more crackers but who’s counting?), I decided to make ice cream with the leftovers!
I used 1% milk and fat free half and half so it was really more like ice milk but I didn’t hear a single complaint. It had big chunks of the cracker crumbled up in it and little bits of cut up marshmallow. I used miny chocolate chips as well as bigger chunks of the chocolate from the kit. I had some crumbs at the bottom of the cracker bag so I used those to sprinkle on top. I LOVED those crackers!
This ice cream was was a wonderful addition to our Memorial Day celebration and a fun way to lick off Summer. (I only have 3 working days till SUMMER VACATION!!!)!
And with the kick off to Summer, I welcome you to do the crawl. The S’more crawl.
Just click away and enjoy!
S’more Ice Cream
1 cup half & half (I used fat free)
2 cups milk (I used 1%)
3/4 cups sugar
1 TBSP vanilla
3 graham crackers, crushed
4-5 marshmallows cut into small piece
2-3 ounce chocolate chips
Mix half &half, milk, sugar, and vanilla together untill sugar dissolved. Pour mixture into the bowl of an ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer’s instructions. 5 minutes before ice cream is done, mix in chocolate, crackers, and marsh, allows. Transfer to a freezer safe container and store in freezer. Or eat it soft serve right away!

I made ice cream for Memorial Day as well, but your version is much healthier and looks better tasting as well. What a great idea.
How did you manage to make an ice cream that looks healthy and decadent at the same time? I’m guessing you’ve got a touch of mad scientist in you. What a great way to use the leftovers of your prize. When I went to Camp Blogaway with the chocolate, marshmallows and crackers, I was very curious to see what all the attendees would think of those three layers in gourmet s’mores. Needless to say, they were a hit with the campers. What surprised me, though, was how much I LOVED those maple crackers, just like you. They are really addictive.
Congratulations on winning a Gourmet S’mores Kit from RegionalBest.com and thanks so much for joining the TasteStopping S’mores Tasting Party. This has been so much fun!
Best,
Casey
Oh my goodness Megan! The vanilla marshmallows and the maple crackers sound heavenly. I don’t know if I would’ve had any leftover to make the ice cream with. A truly magical combination:)
