I’ve participated in a lot of blogging events like Secret Santa, Blogging by Mail, the jam exchanges, not to mention I’ve won a few contests, and I’ve gotten a few packages in the mail from blogger friends. And it’s these kind of times, I wish I had a nice thank you foodie card.
When I heard that Sarah from Mum in Bloom had picked homemade postcards for the Martha Monday Project, I knew just how I was going to do my postcards.
I took some of my favorite foodie pictures, and turned them into postcards!
I just uploaded them to Rite Aid and they let me type whatever I wanted right onto the picture. Of course I had to go with my URL( aka my blog’s address). They were ready for pick up in an hour!
Then I printed out Martha Stewart Templates for the postcards on some heavy paper. Pasted the trimmed backing to my pictures and wallah!!! Homemade postcards for the Foodie!
Here is the post that go with each postcard.
And now…
I’m so excited, I’ve adopted!
Yep!!! It’s a girl. A girl from Florida.
I’d like you to meet Kathleen from “Deja Vu” Cook’s Blog.
Kathleen is a brand new blogger but a well seasoned cook!
Take a look a her recipe for Soupe a l’oignon Gratinee. I’m so going to make that!
It’s my pleasure to mentor Kathleen and help her learn the ropes. It’s nice to have a friend and someone who you can turn to when you have questions or need help.
Please go over and say “Hi” and let her feel the love. The bloggy love! I know she would appreciate it and feel welcomed.
This is my fourth time participating in the Adopt a blogger event hosted by Kristin from dine and Dash. There are still some people left who need adopting so if your an experienced blogger and your interested, hop on over to Dine and Dish.
A big thank you to Kristin for all her hard work to assign everyone a partner. It’s no small task, I assure you. Thank you kristin!

Those are totally adorable, Megan! What a great idea!
And congrats to your mentee – she couldn’t have gotten a better mentor! Wish someone had thought of that when I started out – but then, I’ve morphed over time, and still evolving.

What a terrific idea! I’ve unofficially adopted a new blogger (sheesh, I’m just over one year). Who knew what a lovely family of foodie friends could be made over the internet. As for the cards– I’m not very artistic, but I think I could do these. Thanks for the great inspiration!
I love the postcard idea! How fun that you signed up to Adopt a Blogger. I’m going to check in to that and hop over to visit Kathleen!

What a great idea to adopt a blogger. I wish I knew about this when I started. Of course I still feel so new at blogging! I wish you’d adopt me!
I love your postcards too! I totally missed that Martha Mondays, probably too busy with parents in town!
What a wonderful set of postcards, and those olive penguins are just waaay too cute!
Hey Megan! Was not sure I was going to make it your new home or not…sort of bumpy ride from your old site! WHEW! But blogger does not like anyone to leave so they don’t make it easy.
Michelle
What a fun idea! Love these postcards!!
And aren’t you just one of the best to adopt a blogger! Really, that speaks volumes to me to the kind of wonderful person (whom I already know) you are. Can’t tell you how many times, when I was first starting out, when I’d ask an experienced blogger a question and the question was ignored.
Bless you, my friend. Your kind and generous heart reaches many.
