Chocolate Peanut Butter Passion Bars

I was asked for an easy recipe that started with a mix. Some thing that would be quick and easy for a working mom who needed something for a bake sale. I thought this would fit the request.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Passion Bars
One (or two) brownie mixes and a few pantry staples and your set! You get a delicious, gourmet Brownie that is sure to be a sell out! And you’ll want to lick the platter!

Recipe by Ghirardelli

  • 1/3 cups oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 box Ghirardelli Triple Brownie Mix (I used Double Chocolate mix)
  • 1 cup peanuts

Peanut Butter Filling

  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter

Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9-by-9-by-2-inch pan.

In a medium bowl, stir together oil and eggs. Add brownie mix and peanuts;

stir until moistened. Press half of the brownie mixture into the pan, reserving

the remainder for topping.

To make the filling, stir sweetened condensed milk and peanut butter in a medium

bowl until smooth. Spread evenly over the brownie layer in the pan.

Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of the reserved brownie mixture over the peanut

butter layer.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is set. Cool thoroughly before cutting.
